Today in maths, we were learning to measure length using non-standard units. We worked as a team to trace around our friend's body, then we used blocks to measure how tall they were.
Afterwards, we talked about the words tall, taller, and tallest. We also talked about the words short, shorter, and shortest.

We had a rocking time at our Around the World themed disco!

Buddy Time

On Friday, our buddies from Room 23 came to our class. We read some of our favourite books to them and they shared their favourites as well.

Afterwards, we went out to the field to play a game called Mirrors with our buddy. Watch the video to see what we got up to!

Today, we had Sander and Jeremy from Football for Children come and teach us some soccer skills.

Tahlia and Prabhnoor won medals for participating and trying to do their best. Well done, everyone!

Last Day of Term 1

Today, we wore something red to school to help fundraise money for a guide dog our school sponsors.

We started the day using jellybeans during maths time. We used tally marks to record the number of coloured jellybeans we had. It was fun but eating them afterwards was more fun!

We ended the day playing a game of Freeze.

Tēnā Koutou

We have be learning to greet people and respond to people when greeted in te reo Māori. A song that helps us learn the proper greeting is the Tēnā Koe song.

We also got to pick out a costume from Room 2's dress up box and then we practised saying hello to each other. It was lots of fun!
